Horticulture – one month in…

Mr Spurrier writes…

The first month for our new subject Horticulture has been a fun, successful and enlightening period of time.

We have started to clear the garden for planting and clear the paths for ease of access.

On the planting front we have, so far, sewn seeds for; Broad beans, tomatoes and flowers. These will be ready to plant outside in the spring. We have also planted onions and garlic; these should start to appear in the early spring. Next term we have many projects that we intend to start. We will be clearing more space for planting. We are also aiming to plant early crop potatoes, carrots and any other early crop vegetables that our students can think of.

We are also preparing an area for fruit bushes. Oh, and there has been some mention of chickens…….
